The Jurassic Journey project was a multi-media celebration of the “Jurassic Coast” World Heritage Site co-ordinated by Villages in Action in Devon and Artsreach in Dorset. The project was an interactive collaboration between four artists who have different perspectives on the coast:
- Ben Osborne – Lead Artist (photographer and audio-visual artist)
- Sammy Hurden (composer and musician) plus other musicians
- Matt Harvey (poet)
- Lal Hitchcock (sculptor)
They came together to share the experience of visiting this spectacular location and to inspire each other and their audiences through their combined creative vision. The result was an entertaining and atmospheric audio-visual journey celebrating one of Britain’s most important landscapes. There was also an exhibition that toured to village halls across Devon and Dorset, accompanied by workshops with the artists from the project.
